Support Transformative Coaching on #GivingTuesday

The ICF Foundation’s Special Projects are creating waves of hope and transformation around the world. This Philanthropy Day, we’re sharing an inspiring story that showcases the incredible power of coaching to change lives.

Through a remarkable partnership with Special Olympics, ICF-credentialed coaches helped nurture and empower 50 extraordinary leaders across Africa and Latin America. These dedicated individuals, who largely serve in voluntary roles, received personalized coaching through the Special Olympics Leadership Academy – an award-winning program focused on building inclusive, future-ready leaders who drive global change.

The impact has been profound. Dr. Jaki Wasike-Sihanya, ACC, one of our dedicated coaches in the Africa Region, who worked closely with leaders, explained that through this Special Project, ICF helped these passionate leaders tap into their own leadership wisdom, enabling them to create even greater impact in their communities.

The results speak directly to the transformative power of coaching. As Charles Nyambe, President & Managing Director of Special Olympics International, Africa Region, beautifully expressed: “There was a significant change for staff members. Coaching was more impactful than seminars – it targets one’s nature and character and makes tweaks to help make the right decisions for the community they lead.” Learn more about this incredible partnership here.
