New ICF Research Reveals Growing Focus on Mental Well-Being in Coaching
The global coaching landscape is rapidly evolving, with mental well-being emerging as a key focus area. New research from ICF and PricewaterhouseCoopers reveals an increasing demand for mental well-being support in coaching and the reasons behind this shift.
The newly released 2024 ICF Coaching Snapshot: Coaching and Mental Well-Being reveals a powerful new trend — a majority of coaches are seeing a rise in clients requesting mental well-being support. Currently, 26% of coaches report that over half of their clients seek help in this area, and 72% of internal coaches agree that additional training is vital to meet this need.
These findings are important for both internal coach practitioners, who need support and training to prioritize mental well-being in their coaching initiatives, and for external coaches looking to meet their clients’ evolving needs.
