Amy Wilkins came to coaching at a pivotal moment in her career.
Changes to her job left her feeling frustrated and ineffective in her role. She was questioning her career path and needed direction and strategies to help her thrive at work and in life.

Amy partnered with Terry Yoffe, PCC, an executive, transition, and career coach based in New York City, USA.

During their sessions, Terry invited Amy to use metaphors to better understand herself and her organization. Amy landed on the metaphor of the Statue of Liberty to embody how she wanted to show up in her professional and personal interactions. In another exercise, she envisioned key figures in her organization as pieces on a chess board and discovered that her perception of where to apply her influence was not always accurate.

Through coaching, Amy was able to move beyond the stories she had been telling herself that prevented her from moving forward. This enabled her to better navigate her workplace, understand how to use her influence effectively, achieving her professional goals, and help her team reach the next level.

Amy’s story is a powerful example of the impact coaching can have on individuals’ executive presence, effectiveness, and self-confidence.
