Looking Ahead with the ICF Foundation

Posted by ICF Foundation | January 28, 2021 | Comments (0)

It’s that time of year when we find ourselves focusing on what the new year will bring. And this year feels even more unique and hopeful around the globe as we see some light at the end of the tunnel with COVID-19 vaccines becoming available and distributed. This hopefulness spreads to how we can enter 2021 a little differently, adjusting and adapting with our lessons learned from the year before

The ICF Foundation’s priorities in 2021, as in previous years, have not changed. We’ll strive to answer questions about what we can do to achieve the most social impact where we can use our learnings from 2020 and how we can keep the momentum going to make an impact in society with coaching.

The year is already shaping up to be a new adventure that bring new joys and challenges! Check out a few things we’re most excited about

Our New ICF Foundation Vice President

As the ICF Global Enterprise ecosystem continues to expand, we are happy to introduce the ICF Foundation’s Vice PresidentCoura Badiane, MBA, CAE. A native of Senegal, Coura is an international development professional and associations executive.  With a background in economics and international development, Coura has over ten years of experience in association management, including previous positions with the World Bank, Northwestern University, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Radiological Society of North America, to name a few.

ICF Foundation 2021 Board of Trustees

In partnership with ICF Foundation staff, our trustees are busy preparing and organizing for the new year, planning key priority areas and preparing to review our strategic plan this spring. We welcome our newest trustee to the Board, Wang Ching. She believes everybody has the desire to be a better person and is willing to contribute to what they believe in. She knows that coaching is a powerful tool to unleash an individual’s potential. The 2021 ICF Foundation trustees are:

  • Lisa Nitze, Chair
  • Saima Butt, MCC, Treasurer
  • Maria Elena Retter, ACC, Secretary
  • Yene Assegid, MCC
  • Wang Ching
  • Ann Dorgan, PCC
  • Morel Forman, ICF Global Board Representative
  • Dumi Magadlela
  • Jose Piñero

These trustees are poised to take the Foundation to new heights in 2021. One of the key areas of focus is the Social Impact Pro Bono Project. This initiative will provide research data that points to the social impact that coaching will make on mission-driven organizations. We are thrilled to begin engaging with our partners this year. This project pairs us with three to five social change organizations around the globe to offer pro bono coaching to their leadership teams and allows us to measure its impact

Expanded Council of Ambassadors

To continue our impact within the ICF ecosystem with members, credentialholders and chapters, we are thrilled to have expanded our Council of Ambassadors. These 18 ambassadors will work to connect, inspire and support the work of projects like Ignite, sharing the mission of ICF Foundation and inspiring participation in our initiatives.

As we move into 2021, bringing forward the lessons we’ve learned and the silver linings we’ve discovered in the difficult year of 2020, we are grateful for YOU. You have empowered us to make a difference. And for that we celebrate as we move into the great possibilities this year will bring.
