ICF Foundation and Global Giving Tuesday

Posted by ICF Foundation | November 30, 2021 | Comments (0)

At this time of year, many of us often find ourselves reflecting on the good in the world, taking inventory of the impact that we are making on those around us, whether personally within our community or professionally as a part of our work. Each year, the ICF Foundation encourages members, chapters and ICF Credential-holders to consider participating in the international movement called Global Giving Tuesday. This day is dedicated to unleashing the collective power of people and organizations on social issues. Global Giving Tuesday encourages everyone to get involved however possible through a donation of their time, a financial gift or by using their voice to empower the community.

This year, the ICF Foundation has set a #GlobalGivingTuesday goal to secure 450 gifts – an ambitious aspiration that cannot be met without the help of ICF Chapters and individuals who see value in the work the ICF Foundation does in the coaching industry. Your gift will support the impact coaching can make on society, as explained by this participant of the Ignite Initiative:

Before I started the Ignite coaching program, I was extremely burnt out and seriously considering quitting my job. My coach helped me work through this by encouraging me to engage in self-care routines.  She also provided a safe space for me to realize that what I wanted was not to quit my job but to have a role switch or a break from my current work scope.” — Ignite Initiative participant

We all have the power to transform local communities and the world by supporting the ICF Foundation’s mission to amplify and accelerate social change through coaching. Our goal is to bring positive changes to the world, one coach at a time.

In honor of this year’s Global Giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021, we invite you to join the ICF Foundation to help make a difference for humanity and the planet. You have the opportunity to get involved in several ways:

1. Make a gift to the ICF Foundation

Every gift made to the ICF Foundation makes a difference. But one unique way to support coaching’s global impact is through the ICF Foundation Society. This is a group of like-minded individuals from around the globe who are passionate about applying coaching to social progress organizations. These generous, forward-thinking individuals have made donations of $500 or more to the ICF Foundation and are instrumental in the continuation of our mission. Their collective donations in 2020 provided more than $30,000 USD in support of ICF Foundation projects.  These donors share why they find it important to support coaching for social impact:

“I’ve been blessed through a very successful career which continues as I have transitioned to focusing my professional life exclusively on coaching. I feel a strong need to share some of that success with others, through support of the Foundation.” – Lillian LeBlanc, PCC (United States)

“I give because making an impact for all people in the world to be able to live a good life is one of my drivers to become and grow as a coach.” – Martin Jessen, PCC (Germany)

2. Share the work done by the ICF Foundation and the role that coaching can play in social change.

Join us on social media – like and share our social media messages to create awareness of coaching and the impact it can have within our communities! You can find us on ICF’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

You can also sign up to receive our ICF Foundation newsletter here.

3. Participate in our Ignite Initiative.

Ignite uses the collective power of ICF Chapters, Members and Credential-holders to accelerate the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The spark of light to ignite humanity! When we share the power of coaching with our world, we have the power to ignite our locate communities and spark a global impact. Join us today in making a difference! It only takes one coach to provide for one social impact organization to begin the ripple of good!

We hope you will consider making a gift as part of the 2021 Global Giving. Every gift counts!
