The ICF Coaching Impact Awards will maintain the robust and rigorous standards of previous ICF awards initiatives, while offering coaches and organizations exciting new opportunities to be recognized globally for their work. We currentlyplanning to add more categories during future award seasons.
Are the trophies still of sustainable material?
Yes! We work with experts in sustainable plastics products to create elegant and impactful trophies and plaques for our award winners. They use the principles of circular economy. All trophies are beautifully designed and made of recycled plastic.
What will happen to the award winners of the past ICF awards’ structure?
All our ICF award winners are an integral part of our global ecosystem and community. As a result, past award winners will always be recognized as such, despite the evolution of our awards program. We will continue to seek opportunities to engage them as:

What are the criteria for the Professional Coaches category? Do I need to be a certain age to be eligible?
The ICF Coaching Impact Awards eligibility is not dependent upon your age. Rather, the ICF Coaching Impact in Professional Coaches category includes criteria based on credential and membership tenure. It will honor individual coach practitioners who are making an impact in the profession and at ICF.
DistinguishedCoach winners are experienced coach practitioners who have made their mark on ICF and the coaching profession, hold an active ICF MCC credential, and have been ICF members for at least 10 years.
Accomplished Coach winners are coach practitioners who have made their mark on ICF and the coaching profession, hold an active ICF PCC credential, and have been members for at least seven years.
Emerging Coach winners are coach practitioners who are poised to lead ICF and coaching profession into the future, hold an active ICF ACC credential, and have been members for at least five years.
Does ICF still offer the Prism Award?
The ICF Coaching Impact Awards are an expansion and evolution of ICF’s previous awards initiatives — which have included the International Prism Award, Circle of Distinction and Young Leader Award — bringing them all into a single, cohesive awards system to celebrate excellence in professional coaching. The Organizations category will celebrate businesses and organizations that have built strong coaching cultures and demonstrate the positive effects of coaching. This award is an evolution of the ICF Prism Award.
Is there any expectation of award winners?
ICF will celebrate winners of the 2023 ICF Coaching Impact Awards at ICF Converge2023, which is taking place August 23-26 in Orlando, Florida, USA.Winners are expected to participate in a panel session during ICF Converge. The winners’ registration, flight, and hotel will be covered by ICF.
Do all the nominations need to be made by ICF members?
No. Here are the details per category:Professional Coaches category: Anyone can nominate a professional coach.Organizations category: You must be an ICF credential-holder to nominate an organization with a strong coaching culture.Coaching Education category: Anyone can nominate a coach educator or ICF accredited provider .
Can a nominator enter more than one submission?
Can one nominee be entered in more than one category?
All ICF Coaching Impact Award nominees can only be entered in one category per season.
Are self-nominations allowed?
