Course Details:

Mentor coaching is often viewed as a process for refining coaching skills, preparing for an ICF credential, or demonstrating the ICF Core Competencies. While these are important outcomes, transformational mentor coaching invites us to look beyond observable behaviors and consider the whole person behind the coaching.

Join the ICF Mentor Coaching Community of Practice for an engaging, interactive session exploring what makes mentor coaching truly transformational. Together, we’ll examine how mindset, presence, vulnerability, relational safety, and reflective practice shape meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond feedback and performance improvement.

Through guided reflection, small-group dialogue, and community conversation, participants will explore how mentor coaches can create environments that foster deeper awareness, authentic growth, and lasting transformation. Rather than focusing on finding the “right” answers, this session encourages participants to notice what is emerging within themselves and to learn from the diverse perspectives of fellow coaches.

Whether you are an experienced mentor coach, considering becoming one, preparing for an ICF credential, or supporting the development of other coaches, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives on how mentor coaching can honor the humanity of the people we mentor while cultivating growth that reaches far beyond competency development.
