Join us for a live group coaching demonstration and debrief, “Group Coaching Demonstration and Debrief,” where you’ll explore how a skilled group coach maintains a coaching mindset while fostering connection and trust, and gain insights into guiding groups to surface meaningful insights.

Who Is This For?

  • Internal and external coaches who are looking to design and build group coaching programs.
  • Professional coaches who want to experience the impact of group coaching firsthand.
  • Group coaches who are looking to strengthen and refine their group coaching skills.

What You Will Learn:

  • Differentiate group coaching from training, facilitation, and other group modalities to set clear expectations with participants.
  • Co-create agreements and apply practical techniques to strengthen trust and psychological safety in a group setting.
  • Apply a structured group coaching flow (check-in, exploration, reflection, commitments) while maintaining a coaching mindset.
  • Demonstrate presence as a group coach by identifying themes, inviting peer coaching, and guiding the group toward deeper awareness and action.

 Course Details:

Group coaching is rapidly growing as a powerful way to create connection, learning, and transformation. In this session, you will observe what effective group coaching looks like in real time through a live demonstration. You’ll experience how a group coach fosters connection, establishes trust, and partners with participants to surface meaningful insights.

Rather than offering advice or teaching content, the coach will demonstrate a coaching approach grounded in presence, deep listening, and powerful questioning. You’ll see how participants are invited to stay curious, support one another, and challenge each other in ways that create forward movement. This experience highlights how group coaching can unlock collective wisdom while maintaining a strong coaching mindset aligned with the ICF Core Competencies.

Following the demonstration, we will transition into a facilitated debrief and open Q&A. This is your opportunity to reflect on what you observed and explore the coach’s intentional choices. We will discuss how the container was created, how trust and psychological safety were established, and how group dynamics were navigated to support meaningful dialogue. You’ll also gain insight into how the coach guided the group toward clarity, awareness, and action.

Whether you are designing your first group coaching experience or refining an existing program, this session will support you in deepening your understanding of group coaching. You will leave with greater clarity about what distinguishes coaching from facilitation or training, and what it takes to create a space where participants can learn, grow, and generate results together.

Please note that we will invite five volunteers at the start of the session to participate in the live demonstration. You are encouraged to consider volunteering for this unique opportunity to experience group coaching firsthand.
