Course Details

Organizations are in constant transition, and coaches are often called upon to support leaders and clients while change is unfolding. With AI becoming one of the forces shaping today’s organizations, coaches may encounter new questions, shifting expectations, and increasingly complex ethical considerations. 

Ethics as an Anchor in Times of Change is a 90-minute interactive workshop designed for coaches at all ICF credential levels. The session explores ethics as a practical, evolving resource—something coaches can return to when the environment around them is changing. 

Through real coaching scenarios, peer dialogue, facilitator-led knowledge sharing, and reflection, participants will explore how ethical considerations arise for both internal and external coaches during periods of organizational transition, including change influenced by AI. 

Participants will examine how ethics can guide coaching practice when roles, relationships, expectations, or organizational circumstances are shifting. The session will also explore the ethical agreements coaches hold with clients, sponsors, and stakeholders and consider how these agreements may require particular attention in internal and external coaching contexts. 

Participants will explore which ICF ethical standards are particularly relevant in environments of change and what they ask of coaches in practice. The conversation will connect ethical practice with four ICF Core Competencies: Demonstrates Ethical Practice, Embodies a Coaching Mindset, Establishes and Maintains Agreements, and Cultivates Trust and Safety.
