International Coach Federation and Human Capital Institute Launch Survey on Coaching in Organizations
Building a Coaching Culture 2020 will explore the building blocks of strong coaching cultures.
Lexington, Kentucky, USA—The International Coach Federation (ICF) and Human Capital Institute (HCI) have launched the survey for Building a Coaching Culture 2020.
Human resources and talent development professionals are invited to complete the survey at coachfederation.org/coachingculture.
This marks the sixth year that ICF and HCI are partnering to explore the components of strong coaching cultures and how organizations use coaching to achieve strategic objectives. Previous ICF/HCI studies have explored the intersection of coaching and topics including change management, developing millennial leaders and first-time people managers, and employee engagement.
“Coaching is widely utilized in an organizational setting and yet it keeps evolving. More research is needed to truly understand what is needed and how coaching can offer a solution. This survey will be another step in our journey to support organizations and their employees in achieving their fullest potential and contributing to a thriving society,” ICF CEO/Executive Director Magdalena Nowicka Mook said.
One platform where ICF will promote the survey is the Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) 2019 International Conference and Exposition in Washington, D.C., USA. ICF will once again have a robust presence at ATD’s flagship event for talent development professionals.
Attendees will have an opportunity to partner with ICF-credentialed coaches in the ATD Career Center for free, 45-minute coaching sessions. ICF is also sponsoring a Career Center presentation by consultant, speaker and leadership experience designer Tara Jaye Frank. She will present “What’s Your Story” twice: Once on May 20 from 12–1 p.m., and again on May 21 from 12–1 p.m.
On May 20 at 1 p.m., ICF will present a breakout session on “Building a Coaching Culture for Change Management.” The session will feature three ICF-credentialed coaches: Matt Becker, MCC; Shawna Corden, PCC; and Glenn St. Onge, PCC.
ICF will also have an ATD EXPO booth where attendees can meet with ICF staff and local chapter members and have their questions answered about becoming a coach, obtaining an ICF Credential and building a coaching culture in their organizations.
“ICF is successfully advancing the practice of coaching in organizations and is delighted to partner with ATD and HCI to promote the growth of sustainable coaching cultures in service of consistently high performance,” 2019 ICF Global Board Chair Jean-Francois Cousin, MCC, said.
The International Coach Federation (ICF) is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches across a variety of coaching disciplines. ICF is active in representing all facets of the coaching industry, including Executive, Life, Leadership, Relationship and Career Coaching. Its 36,000-plus members located in 145 countries work toward the common goal of enhancing awareness of coaching, upholding the integrity of the profession, and continually educating themselves with the newest research and practices.
