–ICF earns top honors in both the Branding or Rebranding Campaign and Website categories–
Lexington, Kentucky, USA — The International Coaching Federation (ICF), the world’s largest organization leading the global advancement of the coaching profession, has earned two PR Daily’s 2026 Nonprofit Communications Awards, receiving top honors in both the Branding or Rebranding Campaign and Website categories. Winners were announced September 30 at The Yale Club in New York City.
PR Daily’s Nonprofit Communications Awards, from Ragan Communications, recognize the campaigns, teams, and partnerships that help nonprofits build awareness and earn public trust.
The two awards recognize interconnected parts of ICF’s broader transformation: its comprehensive global rebrand and the redesign of coachingfederation.org. Together, the initiatives modernized how ICF represents the coaching profession and how global audiences discover, navigate, and engage with ICF.
“Brand and digital experience shape how people understand, trust, and engage with an organization. For ICF, strengthening both was essential to how we serve our global community and position professional coaching for the future,” said Renata Lerch, Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications at ICF. “Both initiatives were grounded in listening, research, and a commitment to making ICF more accessible, relevant, and discoverable globally. These awards belong to our extraordinary team and to the ICF community of members and credential-holders, whose perspectives shaped this work and who bring our brand to life every day.”
Branding or Rebranding Campaign
ICF received the Branding or Rebranding Campaign award for its global brand transformation, which modernized the organization’s identity while preserving the trust and authority built over more than 30 years. The research-led rebrand drew on interviews, surveys, and focus groups across regions, sectors, and generations. Rollout began in January 2025, ICF’s 30th anniversary year.
The transformation created a unified, digital-first brand system designed to work across ICF’s global ecosystem while adapting to different audiences and markets. The new visual and verbal identity brought clarity and consistency to digital platforms, communications, and chapters worldwide.
Website
ICF received a second award in the Website category for From Silos to Seamless: How the ICF Built a Website Experience Around People, Not Products.
The redesign of coachingfederation.org put audience journeys and needs at the center of the digital experience. Global interviews, surveys, and user testing informed a new architecture, clearer content, and more intuitive pathways. The project brought previously separate websites into one unified digital ecosystem built around accessibility, search optimization, and ongoing testing. Website sessions increased 59%.
“Winning in both categories reinforces the connection between brand and experience,” Lerch added. “A brand earns its strength through the experiences it creates and the trust it builds with every interaction. These two initiatives were intentionally designed to work together to make ICF easier to understand, easier to navigate, and better positioned to serve the coaching profession globally.”
