The State of Coaching Supervision Research: 2019 Update reviews the research on supervision in the helping professions (i.e., coaching and psychotherapy supervision) published in 2019.
Topics include supervisors’ roles and responsibilities of the supervisory relationship, models and methods of supervision, becoming a multiculturally competent supervisor, ethical and legal issues in supervision, education and training, and evaluation in supervision.
The literature surveyed continues to demonstrate that despite the lack of research studies and limitations in those that exist, supervision is an important part of professional development for helping professionals.
