René Sonneveld, ACTC, PCC, MBA, is a leadership coach for entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and corporate teams, also coaching athletes on mental performance. 

With extensive chairman and C-Suite executive experience in the USA, Europe, and South America, he specializes in developing senior executives to CEO level and advising corporate boards on governance. 

René’s corporate career began as an international tax lawyer in the Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Curacao, followed by leadership roles at UBS Bank and Deutsche Bank, and concluded when named Citibank New York’s “family and corporate governance champion” in 2010. 

In 2012, René was appointed Honorary Consul General by the Queen of the Netherlands, a role renewed in 2017 and 2022. He is committed to sustainable energy, including a green hydrogen supply chain from South America to Europe. 

René holds a law degree, teaches at American University, Rutgers, and North Carolina State University, is an ICF Advanced Certified Coach, and is quadrilingual.
