John Schaffner

John J. Schaffner, PhD, is a practitioner-scholar with a doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where he studied under Richard Boyatzis, PhD.  His research on coaching millennials has been presented at several academic conferences Columbia), and his chapter on coaching with compassion will be published in Positive Psychology Coaching in the Workplace.

John’s career started with Wynton Marsalis and led to many interesting stops along the way.

Coaching has driven his primary purpose since receiving his certification from the Columbia Coaching Certification Program and his MBA from Columbia Business School. Presently, John serves as coaching program director and management lecturer at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, USA, where he has won five teaching awards.
