Angela D. Carter, ACC, EdD, is a leadership educator, coach, and scholar focused on growing leaders who develop others, expand capacity, and foster learning cultures grounded in curiosity, courage, and care. Her work bridges coaching for development, improvement science, and inclusive leadership across higher education, nonprofit, and corporate spaces.

Angela’s coaching practice is rooted in reflective inquiry, adaptive leadership, and the understanding that genuine transformation requires inner work, accountability to others, and attention to systems that enable or constrain growth.

Her scholarship appears in Advances in Developing Human ResourcesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, and Career Development International. She contributes to ICF efforts that center engagement, community impact, and widening access to coaching.

Angela approaches coaching as a cultural practice that strengthens belonging and equips leaders to create more just and thriving environments where people can learn, contribute, and lead.
