Introduction to ICF Level 3 Coaching Education Accreditation
Level 3 accreditation signifies that your education prepares PCC credentialed (must be active) coaches to expertly navigate complex coaching scenarios and foster meaningful client transformation. Building on prior education, such as Level 2 programs, your students will be fully equipped to pursue the prestigious Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential.
Your program should provide deep expertise in the ICF Core Competencies and emphasize ongoing professional growth, ensuring graduates not only refine their skills but also commit to lifelong learning and excellence. Additionally, your coaching education program must provide the following for each student:
- At least 75 hours of student contact learning.
- Observation with written feedback of five coaching sessions.
- A minimum of 10 hours of mentor coaching over a three-month period.
Furthermore, your organization must have a director of education who oversees the curriculum, instructional processes, instructor training, and all observation and examination processes.
Enhanced Reputation
Level 3 accreditation establishes your organization as a leader in coaching education, signaling to students and the industry that you adhere to the highest standards of quality, promote ethical practice, and foster accountability among coaches.
Increased Institutional Growth
With enhanced credibility and a reputation for excellence, you are likely to experience increased enrollment and demand, leading to long-term growth and sustainability.
Networking and Collaboration
You will gain exclusive networking opportunities with other accredited providers and industry professionals, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Attraction of Serious Students
Graduates from accredited programs are often more successful in their coaching careers, leading to a robust alumni network that can further enhance your institution's reputation and support future students.
Application Cost for Level 3 Accreditation
Programs with 75+ Contact Hours = $2,500 USD.
Please note: Application fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee accreditation approval.
Level 3 Accreditation Start Date
Your Level 3 accreditation is valid for three calendar years, and it begins on the date the application was submitted.
If you’ve already graduated individuals from your program prior to accreditation approval, your accreditation can be applied retroactively to the most recent graduates, meaning that those graduates have completed Level 3 coaching education.
