ICF is passionate about and committed to placing diversity, inclusion and belonging at the forefront of every decision we make within our organization. To do this, we have and will continue to create unique and engaging opportunities for individuals to contribute to ICF’s DEIB efforts. At this time there are no current open Volunteer Opportunities.
ICF is creating the Global Diversity Council to help oversee our internal and external diversity initiatives and goals. The Diversity Council will consist of leaders from across the the ICF Ecosystem, including an ICF Global Board Director, four stakeholders and three ICF staff members. The Diversity Council will represent different countries, ages, races, stakeholders, and ICF Family Organizations and/or departments.
ICF is happy to announce the 2022-2024 Global Diversity Council. In conjunction with the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (a staff role), these global leaders will help oversee and manage ICF’s internal DEIJB initiatives and goals.
Angie Carter, ACC, EdD, is a human resource developer, adult educator, and leadership coach passionate about facilitating leader development, cultural competency workshops, and providing organization-wide engagement and learning opportunities. She is an assistant professor and program coordinator of the Master of Human Resource Development (MHRD) program at Clemson University’s College of Education, and her research spans the areas of leadership development, coaching, mentoring, and critical human resource development. Before switching to academia, Angie spent much of her career in various learning functions and leadership roles in property management, high-tech, and manufacturing industries.
Casimiro da Silva Santos, known as Coach Cas, is a dad, coach, business leader, and motivational speaker. As a leadership, executive, team, and business coach and founder of Bring the Best, he empowers professionals to conquer limiting beliefs, achieve work-life balance, and minimize stress and anxiety. An active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Cas is committed to social impact, supporting NGOs combatting water scarcity, empowering entrepreneurs and the LGBT community, and aiding those experiencing homelessness. Coach Cas earned an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Coimbra (Coimbra, Portugal), an executive MBA from Erasmus University (Rotterdam, Netherlands), and a Business Management and Sustainability certificate from the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, England). He is also a Senior Engineer in the Portuguese Order of Engineers. Fluent in five languages, he resides in Setúbal, Portugal, with his son, Prince.
Tonya Echols, PCC, is a globally recognized, award-winning coaching leader with over 28 years of corporate management, media, technology, finance, and DEI experience. As an ICF credentialed coach, she serves on two of its global boards and the Diversity Council. Tonya founded Vigere, a coaching and consultancy firm. She is an adjunct professor at William and Mary’s MBA program and has been published in Forbes and HuffPost. Currently pursuing a doctoral degree at William James College, she holds degrees from Gonzaga University and the University of Tennessee.
Robert Garcia, SHRM, SCP, is the vice president of ICF Coaching in Organizations. Robert is responsible for organizational membership growth and leading operations that enable global organizations to build coaching capabilities and develop a strong coaching culture. Previously, he held senior-level positions at Randstad, SHRM, Baptist Health, Florida International University (FIU), LHH, ADP, and United Healthcare. He is an adjunct professor in business and human resource management at FIU. Robert has an MBA from FIU, a bachelor’s in management from Nova Southeastern University, as well as human resources certifications from SHRM and HCI. He is also an executive coach and frequent keynote speaker at global conferences.
Oxana Mozgovaya, PCC, is a professional life and career coach specializing in leadership development and career growth. Oxana is trained in conscious business coaching and certified in emotional-centered and positive intelligence coaching. She has been an ICF volunteer since 2018, and is also part of a world business executive coaching summit facilitators team. Oxana was born in Ukraine and raised in Russia. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in economy of Japan and has been living and working in Sapporo for nine years. She is now a proud Canadian citizen living in beautiful British Columbia.
Ruth Sembajwe, PCC, CEO of Pathway Coaching International, an organization transforming lives through personalized, individual and team leadership coaching to catapult leaders to the next level regardless of social status. Ruth is an executive, systematic team, and group coach, a trainer, and the author of “Colour of Privilege.” Ruth brings over 40 years of experience to the private sector, NGOs, and the United Nations (UN). Notably, she designed and established the internal coaching program for the UN Office in Vienna. Holding a BA in Social Work from Kentucky State University and an MS in Management and Organizational Development from the United States International University, Kenya, Ruth embraces cultural diversity and is passionate about empowering women and youth. She is also a devoted mother and grandmother.
