ICF Announces 2020 Election Results

When ICF was founded in 1995, its purpose was to give credibility to an emerging profession and give coaches a place to connect with one another.

Today, ICF is the world’s largest organization of professionally trained coaches, and we are the leading voice for the global coaching community. Together, we are pursuing a powerful vision: ensuring that coaching is an integral part of a thriving society and every ICF Member represents the highest quality of professional coaching.

As we approach our 25th anniversary, we are taking bold steps to accelerate our achievement of this vision, to lead the future of coaching and to create more value for ICF Members.

The new ICF will be the global organization for coaches and coaching, and our members will have new opportunities to engage in the ICF ecosystem. You will have access to more opportunities for learning, networking, collaboration and business development than ever before.

You will be represented by an elected board of your peers. The results of this election were finalized earlier this month.

In compliance with the ICF bylaws and election process, voting was open November 4–November 18, 2019, to all current ICF Global Members in good standing.

Sara Smith, MCC (USA), was elected to a one-year term as Chair of the 2020 ICF Professional Coaches Board of Directors.

Rajat Garg, MCC (India), was selected by the Nominating Committee to serve a second two-year term as Director.

Rosarii Mannion, PCC (Ireland); Kaveh Mirtahmasebi, PCC (United Kingdom); and Marjorie Woo, MCC (China), were elected to the Board of Directors for two-year terms.

The 2020 ICF Professional Coaches Board of Directors will be comprised of:

  • Sara Smith, MCC (USA), 2020 ICF Global Board for Coach Practitioners Chair
  • Jean-Francois Cousin, MCC (Thailand), Immediate Past Chair and Director
  • Rajat Garg, MCC (India)
  • Emily Kamunde-Osoro, ACC (Kenya)
  • Rosarii Mannion, PCC (Ireland)
  • Linda McLoughlin, MCC (Ireland/United Arab Emirates)
  • Kaveh Mirtahmasebi, PCC (United Kingdom)
  • Catherine Tanneau, MCC (France)
  • Marjorie Woo, MCC (China)

The Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer will be elected by the Board of Directors in December 2019. The Board of Directors will begin its work on January 1, 2020.

ICF thanks all ICF Members who were involved in the nomination and election process.

Obrigado Claudio
